Who can apply for an E-6 Visa
People who plan to work in the following areas for the purpose of making profit: music, art, literature, sports, entertainment (e.g. acting, musical performances), advertisements, fashion modelling
Work Scope
- Art activities such as music, art, literature, etc. that generates profit
- Activities for the purpose of making profit from appearing in entertainment, performances, plays, sports events, advertisements, fashion modeling, etc.
Work Restrictions
- E-6 visa holders are only allowed to work in the culture and entertainment industry.
Required Documents for Visa Issuance application (Company's side)
The visa issuance is a requirement that must be arranged by the sponsoring company. Once approved, they must then send the Visa Issuance Number to the applicant so they can start the visa application
- Visa issuance certificate or Integrated application
- Invitee's Passport (copy of Biopage)
- 1 Recent Passport size photo (3.4 x 4.5 cm, colored)
- Certificate of Qualification/Certificate of Experience
- Business Registration of the Employer
- Employment Contract (copy)
- Documents required for qualification according to the field of activity / Performance plan for the applicant's work
- Employment Recommendation Letter fom the competent department (from the Motion Picture Grade Committee)
- Reference Letter from the Employer
- Identity Guarantee
- HIV-negative confirmation Certificates

- Filled out visa application form
- 1 Recent Passport size photo (3.4 x 4.5 cm, colored)
- Passport (Original and copy)
- Confirmation of Visa Issuance Number
- Visa fee: Varies per country, please check the Korean Embassy or Consulate's website
Steps for Visa Application
- Step 1: Find a company that can sponsor your visa. Be sure to research about the company and their terms (ratios, fees, contract).
- Step 2: Once a company has agreed to employ you and sponsor your visa, you must sign the contract and give the documents needed for the Visa issuance application
- Step 3: The sponsoring company must then proceed with the Visa Issuance Application
- Step 4: After the Visa issuance application is complete, the company will then send the necessary documents like the Visa Issuance Number to the applicant
- Step 5: The applicant must then apply for a visa at the Korean Embassy, Consulate, or Immigration office
- Step 6: If the visa has been granted, you can now prepare for your departure for Korea

The Visa Issuance would take around 2 weeks to process
The E-6 visa takes around 5 working days to 5 weeks to process (varies country)
Types of E-6 visas
E-6-1: Artistic Performer - Music, Art, Literature, Broadcasting, Entertainment activities. This covers entertainment activities such as performance and visual arts (Painting, Photography, Music composition, Orchestra, Advertising, Modeling, etc.)
E-6-2: Performances in hotels and other entertainment venues
E-6-2: Athletes, Professional Team Manager, Manager
