D-10 Visa: Job Seeking
This visa is for Foreigners with at least a bachelor’s degree (including associate degree) who are looking for a job corresponding to E-1 through E-7 visa status.
However, for artistic employment (E-6) visas, hotel and adult entertainment (E-6-2) is excluded from eligibility. Among E-7 visas, individuals seeking skilled work jobs and semi-professional employment cannot apply from abroad.

Applicants may be granted this visa twice (maximum 1 year). Students who have graduated from a Korean University are able to renew a maximum of 3 times(up to 2 years).
Qualifications | Who can apply:
- D-2 Visa holders who have recently graduated (within 3 years) from their program
- D-4 Visa holders who have completed a language course at a South Korean university or language institute, which has lasted at least 6 months.
- E visa holders who have quit their jobs and are hoping to switch to a different company.
- Previous employees of a listed company on the Fortune's Global 500 Companies for more than 1 year in the recent 3 years.
- Graduates of a university listed on the Times' Higher World University Rankings (Top 200) (link) in the recent 3 years.

- Documents proving career details: Letter issued by the company stating the dates of employment (start and end). Valid for 1 month
- Proof of training activities in Korea (if applicable)
- Letter of Release (for E-visa holders who quit their jobs)

The applicant must have at least 20 Basic points, and a total of at least 60 points in order to apply. The maximum number of points that can be obtained is 180 points.
Exemptions to the points system:

Steps for D-10 Visa Application:
- Step 1: Gather the required documents
- Step 2: Make a reservation to visit the immigration office
- Step 3: Arrive at the immigration office at least 10-15 minutes before your appointment. Take note of your reservation number and wait until you are called.
- Step 4: Once called, go to the designated counter and submit your documents.
- Step 5: The immigration officer will evaluate your application, and may ask questions or additional documents
- Step 6: If there are no additional documents necessary, go to the kiosk to purchase stamps for the visa to be processed. It might also be necessary to use the ATM to pay for the Resident card and delivery fee.
- Step 7: Submit the stamp to the immigration officer, then wait to be called for your finger prints to be scanned.
- Step 8: You will receive a confirmation document that will state that your visa and resident card are being processed.
- Step 9: You will receive a message from the immigration office once your card is ready for pick up. OR it will be delivered to your selected address; take note you must be able to physically receive the card.
Notes:
When extending your visa, the immigration officer will review your bank statements or transactions for evidence if there is unregistered work or suspicious transactions. If you are on a D-10 visa, take note of this and ensure that you are not doing any illegal transactions.
Visa Work Restrictions:
- D-10 visa holders are allowed to take part in activities including job seeking or on-the-job training (including short-term paid internship) at an organization or company in ROK if they obtain permission from the immigration office.
- If the visa holder wishes to start an working as an intern, they must report this to the immigration office.
Exemptions:
Recent graduates with at least a TOPIK or KIIP level 4, have never changed to E1-E7, and have no violations may be given permission to get part time jobs. You MUST report to the immigration office before taking part in part-time jobs.
