Tips when visiting the immigration office

  • Make sure to check the time, date, and immigration branch before your appointment
  • Arrive at least 10 or 15 mins earlier than your appointment to ensure you don't miss it
  • Be kind. We know that visiting the immigration office and dealing with visa stuff could be stressful, but Immigration officers are human too and they deserve to be treated as such.
  • Don't be afraid to make a report if you have issues with the way your case was handled, or if there was something wrong on the staff/immigration officer's side.
  • Check if you have all the necessary documents before your visit. You can call 1345 for more details about the requirements and double check with expat communities
