Transport Cards in Korea
What's the difference between the T-money card, Climate Card, and Seoul Pass?
If you are heading to Seoul, you might be wondering which transport card is the best one to use for your trip. Well, it depends on your travel style.
T-money Card
The t-money card is probably the most common one to use. You pay for each trip, you can use it all over Korea (not limited to Seoul). The base fare is 1400 won for the subway and 1450 for the buses. This card is the best option if you plan on visiting other areas in Korea, or if you don't plan to take the public transportation that much in Seoul.
Climate Card
This card is relatively new to the transport card mix. Using the climate card, you can have unlimited subway and bus rides within Seoul. Tourists can choose between the 1-day, 2-day, 3-day and 5-day pass. Some buses won't accept the card though so you have to wait for one that does. This card is best if you plan on using the public transportation within Seoul extensively.
