How to donate items for a tax deduction in Korea

Be able to help someone in need.
Get a tax reduction in the next year-end tax adjustment. The tax credit rate for donations up to 10 million KRW is 15m and 30% for excess.

How to Donate

Step 1: Look for a Beautiful Store (아름다음가게) or Goodwill (굿윌스토어) store near your location
Step 2: Visit the store and bring items you want to donate
Step 3: Tell them that you want to donate

Step 3: The staff should give you a form to fill out, but if they don't, you can ask them for the form so you can use it for your tax deductions
기부영수증 발급해주시겠어요? : Can you pleas give me a donation receipt?

Step 4: Fill out the Donation Form
Step 5: Once the paperwork is complete and processed, you should get a message about your donation. You should then get a message about the value for your donation.
A percentage of the amount you have donated will be counted towards the deductions for your year-end tax adjustment. You can check this amount at you hometax account.

Make sure that the clothes are still usable, and are not damaged (no holes or huge stains)

Shoes with holes or are damaged may not be accepted or may be tagged with lower value.
