If you are a foreigner residing in Korea and are interested in visiting Japan as a tourist, you don't have to go back to your home country just to apply for a visa! Foreign residents can also apply for visas here in Korea.

Applying for a Japanese visa directly at the Embassy used to be free of charge. However, the Japanese embassy is currently not taking in direct applications so you have to apply through a travel agency.
