Personal Customs Clearance Code 개인통관고유부호

Things to prepare:

Resident Card (ARC) Number OR Passport

Phone Number Registered to the Receiver's Name

Steps on how to get your Personal Customs Clearance Code using your Resident Number and Phone Number

• Step 1: Download the 모바일 관세청 app on your phone

• Step 2: If it is your first time to use the app, it will ask for permission to get access to your phone.
  • On the 모바일관세청 앱 이용을 위한 권한 안내 popup: Click on 확인 
  • On the 보이는 ARS 이용 동의 popup: Click on 동의 (For notifications): Click on 동의 if you want to receive notifications, and 취소 if you do not want to receive notifications.
• Step 3: Click on the 개인통관고유부호 button
• Step 4: Select 휴대전화 to verify using your Phone number
• Step 5: Input your Name (성명), Resident Number (주민등록번호), and Phone Number (휴대전화번호).
  • Make sure that you enter your name the same way it is writen on the ARC
  • Family Name then First Name
  • All Capitalized
• Step 4: Click on 본인인증 to move to the Identity verification process using your phone number
• Step 5: A popup message will appear (about the verification code being sent to your phone). Click on the 확인 button
• Step 6: Enter the 6-digit code you received on the SMS 인증번호 field
• Step 7: A popup message stating if you have successfully verified your identity. Click on the 확인 button
• Step 8: Your Personal Customs Clearance Code (개인통관고유부호) is now available. It is marked in RED
• Step 9: You can now use this code and send it to the logistics company, seller, or Korean customs if requested.

Verifying using Kakaotalk

• Step 1: Download the 모바일 관세청 app on your phone

• Step 2: If it is your first time to use the app, it will ask for permission to get access to your phone.
  • On the 모바일관세청 앱 이용을 위한 권한 안내 popup: Click on 확인 
  • On the 보이는 ARS 이용 동의 popup: Click on 동의 (For notifications): Click on 동의 if you want to receive notifications, and 취소 if you do not want to receive notifications.
• Step 3: Click on the 개인통관고유부호 button
• Step 4: Select 간편인증 (민간인증서) to verify using your identity using your Kakaotalk account
• Step 5: Input your Name (성명), Resident Number (주민등록번호), and Phone Number (휴대전화번호).
  • Make sure that you enter your name the same way it is writen on the ARC
  • Family Name then First Name
  • All Capitalized
• Step 4: Click on 본인인증 to move to the Identity verification process using your phone number
• Step 5: A popup message will appear 민간인증서, select kakaotalk or other apps tied to your phone number
• Step 6: Verify if the details about your identity are correct, then click on the 다음 button.
• Step 7: A popup message about the terms of use of your data, click on 모두 동의하고 인증요청
• Step 8: Check your kakaotalk application for a request verifying your identity. Click on 인증하기 
• Step 9: On the Verify with Kakao Certificate, click on the circle next to the [Required] Consent to the provision of Personal Information
• Step 10: Click on the Verify button
• Step 11: Enter your Password
• Step 12: Once the Authentication is complete, click on 'OK'
• Step 13: Go back to the customs app and a pop up stating  if you have successfully verified your identity will pop up. Click on the 확인 button
• Step 14: Your Personal Customs Clearance Code (개인통관고유부호) is now available. It is marked in RED
• Step 15: You can now use this code and send it to the logistics company, seller, or Korean customs if requested.

Get your Personal Customs Code on the Unipass website

• Step 1: Visit the Unipass website
• Step 2: Select a verification process (via phone number, Public Certification, or Simple Verification)
• Step 3: Follow the same steps above, by entering the necessary information
  • Name (As written on the ARC)
  • Resident Number
  • Human Verification
