✅ The B-1 visa refers to Korea's visa waiver program for nationals of countries that have signed a visa exemption agreement with the Republic of Korea. Individuals from these countries may enter Korea without a visa, as long as their visit aligns with the purpose and duration outlined in the agreement (e.g., tourism, international goodwill activities, etc.).

🧾 Who Is Eligible?

You may be eligible for visa-free entry under the B-1 category if you fall into any of the following:

  • A person who has received re-entry permission and is returning within the permitted period.

  • A person exempted from re-entry permission, returning within the exempted period.

  • A national of a country with a visa exemption agreement with Korea, and your visit aligns with the activities and conditions stated in the agreement.

  • A person who has received special entry permission under a Presidential Decree for reasons such as international goodwill, tourism, or Korea’s national interest.

  • A person with a valid Refugee Travel Document re-entering Korea before its expiration date.

🕒 Duration of Stay

The maximum period of stay is determined by the visa waiver agreement with each country. Be sure to check the agreement details for your country in advance.

📑 Documents Required (if applicable)

Although most B-1 travelers do not need a visa, certain situations may require document submission:

  • Visa application form (Form No. 34)

  • Original passport

  • Visa fee (may be waived in some cases)

📌 Important Notes

  • The B-1 visa only allows activities like tourism, attending conferences, or friendly visits.

  • Employment or profit-seeking activities are not allowed under this visa category.

  • Staying beyond the allowed period may result in overstay penalties or future entry bans.
