• ROLE

HD Hyundai Heavy Industries is seeking skilled and dedicated Interpreters and Translators to foster clear communication and a supportive environment for our diverse international workforce. In this role, you will be a vital link between our Korean and foreign employees at our production sites and offices, ensuring smooth operations and helping our international team members adapt and thrive.

 

• Target Languages and Locations:

· Ulsan : Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka

· Gunsan : Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Uzbekistan, India

※ For Uzbek applicants, proficiency in Russian is highly preferred.

 

• Key Responsibilities:

· Provide interpretation and translation services to facilitate seamless communication between local and foreign employees in both production and office environments.

· Assist in counseling and supporting foreign employees to help them adapt to the organization and local culture

· Support the delivery of Korean language training programsKorean language training programs designed to enhance the job competency and on-site adaptation of foreign employees.etency and on-site adaptation of foreign employees.

· Assist in conducting mandatory safety training sessions for foreign employees.

  

Qualifications:

•  High Proficiency in Korean: TOPIK Level 6 or completion of the Korea Immigration and Integration Program (KIIP) Level 5

• • This position is open to candidates who require E-7 visa sponsorship. Applicants must meet one of the following criteria as required by the Korean government for the Interpreter/Translator (2814) professional category:

  • Master's Degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., Translation, Interpretation, Linguistics, Korean Studies).

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field AND at least one (1) year of professional experience in translation or interpretation after graduation.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  We give preference to candidates who have:

  • Industry Experience: Previous work experience in the shipbuilding, manufacturing, or heavy industries sector.

  • Multilingual Ability: Proficiency in additional languages is a strong asset.

  • Proven Track Record: A portfolio demonstrating extensive experience in technical or corporate translation/interpretation.
