Traveling to Korea with dietary restrictions? I want to hear your story to make a change.

Hi everyone,

I’m a 24-year-old student living in Seoul. As the student council president of the Physical Education department at my university, I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about health, safety, and how to make sure everyone in my community feels included and cared for.

I’m also an aspiring entrepreneur who loves my country, especially our rich food culture. But lately, I’ve realized something that deeply concerns me: For many of you, Korean food isn't just "spicy" or "delicious"—it can be a source of anxiety.

Whether it's a severe nut allergy, celiac disease, or any other dietary restriction, I know that navigating a country where "hidden ingredients" (like shrimp paste or soy sauce) are in almost everything can turn a dream vacation into a stressful mission. It’s not just about finding a meal; it’s about the freedom to explore without fear.

I want to change this. I’m currently developing a service to help travelers with dietary restrictions navigate Korea with total peace of mind—from the moment you start planning your trip to the moment you order at a local restaurant.

But to build something that actually works, I need to listen to you. I want to understand the "invisible walls" you hit when you think about or visit Korea.

Could you spare 3-5 minutes to share your experiences? Your voice will be the most important part of this journey.
