A convenient all-in-one account that any foreign resident in Korea can open
Many of you probably need a bank account while living in Korea, and the Foreigner All-in-One Account from Welcome Savings Bank looks quite convenient.
When signing up, you can easily open it with just your alien registration card, and it comes with both check card and postpaid transportation card functions, so you don't need to carry a separate transportation card when using buses or subways.
The interest rate is 3% annually on up to 3 million KRW, and 0.5% on amounts above that, so it's good for storing living expenses like a parking account.
Best of all, transfer fees and overseas remittance fees are free, so there's no burden when sending money.
I'm sharing this as a reference for those who are staying in Korea long-term.
